Every non-race day, except Monday (which is a rest or travel day), a training ride leaves our hotel at 9:00 a.m. The ride varies in duration from two to four hours, depending on which aspect of training or race preparation is being emphasized that day. Our training agenda is tailored to group and individual cyclists of all fitness levels, from novice to expert.

We emphasize power and speed and the opportunity for plenty of climbing. We also focus on bike handling, pedaling technique, race tactics and recovery techniques.

We chose our location for its diverse terrain, which easily provides for all our training needs. To the north, it's rolling to mountainous, to the south totally flat. It's no accident that the Veneto is the most popular region for all types of cycling. The Monte Grappa, with its 26 km climb, is only 13km from the camp. Riding alongside the mountain range enables us to cover more than 100 km of rolling hills.

Many climbs ranging from one to 30 km long are within a short ride from the camp. We also make forays in to the Dolomites and the famous climbs of the Giro d'Italia. For flat terrain we can go for hours on the Padovana flats.

Most of the roads have a smooth, clean, asphalt surface, and there are many roadside springs flowing with unpolluted, refreshing cold water. The beauty of the Italian countryside, with its many small towns,

ancient ruins, and historic landmarks, makes riding seem effortless. Because cycling is so popular in Italy, motorists treat you with respect, and you can expect encouragement from the people you pass along the street. It's a cyclist's dream!
