Veneto is located in the town of Castelcucco (northeastern Italy), in the
foothills of the Dolomite Mountains. Venice is about an hour to the southeast. We
are 45 km north of Padova, 40 km northwest of Treviso and 16 km east of Bassano del
Grappa. The region is home to many of Italy's top pro and elite amateur teams.
The camp is headquartered at the Hotel Montegrappa. We occupy a private five
bedroom, three bath villa that is seperate from the main hotel. The Villa includes
a garage and workshop for bike maintenance and storage and has laundry facilities.
The hotel is a popular choice for many riders who wish a single private room with
bath.
| We eat all our meals in the friendly atmosphere of the hotel dining room. Host
Luca Bolzon and his family have known us for many years, and will make you feel
like part of the family. Not only is the riding/racing world class....but the
hospitality and food at Hotel Montegrappa are simply fabuloso! |

Breakfast – 7:00 – 8:30 a.m.
Continental breakfast, typical throughout Europe, consists of fruit juice, fresh
baked rolls or croissants, sweet butter, marmalade, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal and
cappuccino, espresso or caffe latte.
Lunch – 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
"Pranzo" is ordered off the dining room/pizzeria menu. Occasionally we pack a
picnic lunch for those times when we plan to ride far away into the mountains.
 |
Dinner - 7:30 – 10:00 p.m.
"Cena" is a celebration nearly every night. Again, you can order anything you want
from the menu…all you can eat. And wine or beer are served, no extra charge.

Shopping
- Many renown bike shops, component and clothing manufacturers are
located in the Veneto. We'll take you to the nearby factory outlets and shops
where you'll find bargains and things you can't get at home. You can even order a
custom frame from Michele Cavalera.
Sightseeing
- The Veneto is a very historic region of Italy. Aside from the
obvious excursions to Venice or Verona, there is much to see and do closer to
Castelcucco. There will be plenty of tourist and historical information available
to help you enjoy side trips to Asolo, Possagno, Marostica and Maser, just to name
a few.
