Ciao tutti! This is just a quick note to let you all know that after a soft launch, we are officially re-launching the site with a new design that not only works on your desktop or laptop, but automatically adapts to your other internet devices as well!

But it’s more than just looks, we’ve updated how some of the pages work so it should be easier for you to find information, register for camp, and connect with us on social media. We’ve tested it in all the browsers we can think of, and the new design adapts to tablets (like iPad) and smartphones (iPhone/Android/Windows Mobile) as well, but we’re not perfect. If you encounter anything that doesn’t look quite right, or plain old doesn’t work, please let us know!

Every year, we get more requests for extra clothing, different items, etc. So, in order to more easily fulfill those requests, we’ve created the Velo Veneto online shop where you can order any clothing item that ThreeFace makes for us. This includes not only bibs and jerseys, but vests, jackets, gloves, caps, and socks. The store’s not fancy, but it gets the job done.

The clothing is made in Italy and will be shipped to you starting in May (or waiting for you upon arrival in Italy). However, to get this shipment done in time, ALL ORDERS MUST BE COMPLETE BY FEBRUARY 28, 2011! That only gives you about 2 weeks, so get crackin’!

Like all web projects, we’re launching this in Beta, so if you see anything that doesn’t work or is just a bit off, please let us know!

Here at Velo Veneto we’re trying something we’ve never tried before. Because… well, why not!? We’re running a Cyber Monday Sale!

Here’s the deal:
For all non-Giro d’Italia camp dates, the nightly price is $305, a $20-$30 savings PER NIGHT!
For the Giro d’Italia camp, the rate is $3,700, a $250 savings!

Here’s the fine print:
You must register by midnight, November 29, 2011 Pacific time. Registration includes submitting our online form and paying your $750 deposit by PayPal (including Credit Cards if you don’t have PayPal).

The Registration form requires a date selection. WE WILL NOT HOLD YOU TO THESE DATES. If you select June 10 to June 20 and end up coming July 1 to July 11, that’s OK. You need only finalize your dates 90 days prior to arrival.

Any deposit or other fees collected along the way are subject to our cancellation policy, which includes a clause that says 100% of your cancellation fees can be put towards another trip within 1 year!

Welcome to the new Velo Veneto!

When Renato tells you that it’s time to freshen up Velo Veneto’s look, it’s time to get to work! Thanks to the creative mind of long-time cyclist and designer extraordinaire Alden Tanaka, the new website looks great! He is also giving our team kits a thorough redesign, and we’ll be able to show you the results in a few weeks.

As with any redesign, there are sure to be bugs that need working out. If you see something that looks strange, please let us know!

Also, we would love to use banner images on the pages from our own riders. If you have shots that you think would look great at the top of our pages, please e-mail them to Jason. Images must be at least 1000px wide for us to use in the banner. If you have other images not suited for banner duty, we’ll have a Flickr group up in the next day or so that we would love for you to join. We’ll pull images from the group for display on the site sidebar.
