Training

We chose our location for its diverse terrain, which easily provides for all our training needs. To the north, it’s rolling to mountainous, to the south totally flat. It’s no accident that the Veneto is the most popular region for all types of cycling. The Monte Grappa, with its 26 km climb, is only 13km from the camp, and many climbs ranging from one to 30 km long are within a short ride of the camp. We also make forays in to the Dolomites and the famous climbs of the Giro d’Italia. Riding alongside the mountain range enables us to cover more than 100 km of rolling hills. For flat terrain we can go for hours on the Padovana flats.

Every non-race day, except Monday (which is a rest or travel day), a training ride leaves our hotel at 9:00 a.m. One or two days per week, we take a short drive into the Dolomites to climb the famous passes of the Giro d’Italia. Our rides vary in duration from two to four hours based on the group, their experience, and proximity to upcoming events. Most of our riders will enjoy the company of a former Italian pro (announcement coming soon!), who will join us for a few days every other week. He will share with you his enthusiasm and knowledge, improving your cycling with pointers only a ProTour rider knows!
