For most of you reading this right now, it’s far colder (and probably snowier) than you prefer. Sure, you could ride the cross bike, MTB, or even fat bike on snow-covered trails. You could also bundle up, strap on the longest fenders you can find, and head out on the roads through snowmelt puddles. Or you could hop on the trainer (or even better, rollers!) to get some time in. If you’re lucky, you’ve got some great friends to ride with to make the time go faster and up the fun quotient!
We’ve all been there, and all that prep and all those great friends make it so much better (and some of those rides even become legen-wait for it-dary), but it doesn’t compare to rolling out in shorts and short-sleeve jerseys for a few hours in the sun. There’s something about feeling the sun and wind on your skin, passing through groves of trees with their cooling shade, and stopping for an ice-cold drink that is just more enjoyable.
This is the life we lead at Velo Veneto. Warm rides with great friends, punctuated with ice-cold drinks, followed up by fresh food and fantastic wines. Spend a few minutes thinking about how you’d like to spend some of your time this summer, dream about it, talk it over on your group ride – whatever you need to do to take your mind off the cold and snow for a few minutes.
Then give us a call, send us an email, or just fill out your reservation and book your place in the Italian sunshine.
